I packed 3 sleepsuits: one to sleep In, one to be sick on and an extra one just incase you stay there for an extra night.
Depending on the time of year, you are encouraged by the midwives to put a hat on your baby as soon as they are born.
You will be provided with a hospital blanket for your baby, but there is nothing better than your own freshly washed blanket for your newborn baby.
I took 12 nappies and found that this was more than enough.
These are for mum as well as baby.
8. Going home outfit
Donít forget to pack that all important going home outfit for baby. Take into consideration the time of year and remember your baby will more than likely be leaving the hospital in a car seat so make sure they are comfortable.
As with the sleepsuits, I packed 3 for the same reasons as above.
10. Scratch mits
Babies will inevitably scratch their face so make sure you have a pair if not 2 pairs.
What else do you suggest adding into your hospital bag for baby?
I want hours upon hours of delicious sleep followed by hot cups of tea, reading my book and nothingness. But I'll have to get up now to comfort, feed, clean, dress, entertain, love, laugh, play, and repeat.
