... for always knowing that coffee and cake is required!

1. Thank you for that text that friend who simply says "How are you?". Being a mother means we often forget to think about our ourselves, so it's nice to know that someone else does.

2. Thank you for always reminding me of things I shouldn't forget, like upcoming jabs, a "leap" or of an illness that's going around. It can be hard to remember to brush my own hair some days.

3. Thank you for always packing that extra pair of socks or snacks. Tiredness means I'm not always prepared!

4. Thank you for always inviting me along. Sometimes old friends forget you're still around.

5. Thank you for never saying "I wouldn't do it that way." Being with other people can make you feel vulnerable to how you parent, but mummy friends never judge.

6. Thank you for getting that sometimes things change, sometimes without warning and sometimes last minute.

7. Thank you for holding my hand when I don't have the strength to hold theirs Ė it really does take a village.

8. Thank you for always knowing that coffee and cake is required.

9. Thank you for your advice and for sharing your highs and lows.

10. Thank you for being a friend.

Being a first-time mum is hard, but nothing could have prepared me for my son having Silent Reflux. Here's my journey to getting a diagnosis and treatment for him.
It's a common concern for any mother, whether you have a newborn or whether your children are all grown up (or anywhere in between). Am I doing my best?
My son was a very fussy baby. He only settled when he was being held, he didnít nap for very long during the day, he was very uncomfortable after a feed (more so in the evening) and he never slept through the night.
